India Post GDS Recruitment Selection Process 2025
The process to determine the percentage in the merit list will be based on the marks obtained in 10th class of recognised Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. For applicants whose Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet contains the “marks” as mentioned in each subject or “marks” and “Grade/Points” both, their “marks’ will be worked out by taking into account the ‘marks obtained’. In case any applicant applies with grades/points instead of marks, his/her application
will be liable for cancellation. However, if for any particular subject (s) only grades are mentioned in the mark sheet then for that subject (s) grades can be mentioned and the same need not to be converted to the marks by the candidates.
For grades, the marks will be calculated as follow:

India Post GDS Result 2025
The outcome will be disclosed once the recruitment process is finalized. The results will be published as a merit-based ranking. Approximately seven to eight merit lists will be created and made available on the official website. A separate merit list will be generated for each region.
India Post GDS Educational Qualification 2025
The candidate must have completed the 10th grade with passing marks in Mathematics and English from any recognized Board of School Education under the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories.
Applicants should have studied the local language up to the 10th standard from a recognized board. The department specifies the required local language for each post. A special provision exists for the engagement of GDS in Arunachal Pradesh.
Candidates must possess basic computer knowledge, be proficient in cycling, and have sufficient means of livelihood.
