Criteria for CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Eligibility

  1. Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks, alongside successful completion or enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma program in Elementary Education OR
  2. Attainment of a Senior Secondary certificate (or its comparable qualification) with a minimum of 45% marks, coupled with successful completion or ongoing enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education conforming to the standards outlined by NCTE 2002
  3. Having attained a Senior Secondary qualification (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks, and having successfully completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) program
  4. “Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks, alongside successful completion or current enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).”

Criteria for CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) Eligibility

  1. Successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree program or currently enrolled in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any other designation).
  2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).  OR
  3. Completion of undergraduate studies with a minimum of 45% marks and successful completion or current enrollment in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), as per the guidelines set by the NCTE OR
  4. Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks, coupled with successful completion or current enrollment in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor’s program in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  6. Achievement of a minimum of 50% marks in graduation and successful completion or current enrollment in a 1-year B.Ed. program./ (B.Ed Special Education)
  7. A teacher education program accredited by the NCTE qualifies individuals to participate in the TET/CTET examinations. Additionally, in accordance with the prevailing TET regulations outlined in the NCTE communication dated 11-02-2011, individuals enrolled in any teacher education courses recognized by the NCTE or its affiliates are also eligible. or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET. OR
  8. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

How to Fill CTET Exam Online Form

  1. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the release of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper I for classes I to V and Paper II for classes VI to VIII for the year 2023. Interested candidates can submit their applications online from 03/11/2023 to 01/12/2023.
  2. Please note: This year, examination centers are restricted in each city, and candidates will have access to real-time information regarding available centers while completing the form. Candidates desiring their closest examination center or city are encouraged to apply promptly, as slots for exam cities are limited.
