What is Bima Sakhi Yojana?
The Bima Sakhi Yojana is set to launch in Panipat, focusing on women’s empowerment by involving over 35,000 women. The program will include certificate distribution by the Prime Minister, marking it as the second significant women-centric initiative after “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.”
How much salary will women agents receive in the first year of the scheme?
Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, selected women agents will receive a monthly salary for the first three years. The salary structure is ₹7,000 for the first year, ₹6,000 for the second year, and ₹5,000 for the third year. The educational qualification required to become an agent is minimal, with eligibility set at a 10th-grade pass.
